Voice of the Mirror: Boris Johnson's indecisiveness makes him a danger to us all

It’s 0/10 for useless PM

Pupils, parents, teachers, staff, governors, local councillors and employers are understandably furious at the schools fiasco created by bumbling Boris Johnson.

The confusion across England over reopenings is sadly predictable from a Prime Minister dangerously unable to make up his mind.

Criticisms might be heard too about decisions in Cardiff, Edinburgh and Belfast about education in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, but nothing matches the frustration in England over Johnson’s dithering in London.

No wonder Labour leader Keir Starmer is earning growing respect with his sounder judgment and consistency as Johnson flails, unsure what to do and when.

Schooling is crucial to avoid widening inequalities – children from poorer families more likely to suffer when classrooms close.

A huge national initiative is required to extend online learning and deliver a computer to every pupil until everybody can return safely.

If incompetent Johnson was a school head rather than PM, he would probably be fired.
