Vogue Williams warns husband Spencer Matthews he's not allowed into birthing room if he takes any work calls

Vogue Williams has scolded her husband Spencer Matthews after he made a makeshift bed and watched movies while she was giving birth to Gigi.

And the Howth native told the UK reality TV star he won’t be allowed into the room when she gives birth to the couple’s third child – a boy – next month if he goes on his phone.

She warned her husband: “I might not even want you in the room to be honest. This is a great point to say this....You are not coming into the room if you are annoying me with your phone and going on about work.

"It is a pleasant day, you tell everybody in work that you’re not on call that day, otherwise you’re not coming, and I swear to God I won’t let you in.

“It is my doctor emergency thing. It is my day. You’re not doing that when we go or you’re not invited,” she said on their podcast, Spencer and Vogue.

Spencer quipped: “Of course I’m not going to be on calls while you’re sat there giving birth,” with Vogue revealing: “Are you crazy? The last time you made a bed on the floor, and you started watching movies while I was over in the corner. Thank God there was a midwife in the room, so I had somebody to talk to.”

Spencer clapped back: “What? I put those films on for you.”

Vogue added: “You put the laptop on the floor, I couldn’t sit on the floor,” with Spencer joking: “I was fine tuning it.”

The Dubliner told him he needed to “up your game” in the “birthing area”.

Vogue also revealed she originally wanted a different name for her son, Theodore. She said she would have loved to have named her son Freddie, after her late father.

Explaining the reason she chose to pass on the name, Vogue said: "My dad died 12 years ago nearly and my aunty Sharon ended up calling her dog Freddie, my dad's name was Freddie."

On top of that, Spencer revealed he wasn't a fan of the name, explaining "Freddie's a pretty basic English name".

The couple also discussed the meaning behind their daughter's name and although they both agreed that she wasn't named after Gigi Hadid, they did disagree on why they chose the name.

Spencer insisted that they named their little girl after the movie, Gigi.

Vogue, however, insisted they were inspired by a loved one's dog, saying: "No, Spenny. I don't know the French film, Gigi came from Gina's dog."
