Vogue Williams says Lewis Capaldi snubbed offer to play at her wedding

Vogue Williams revealed her hubby Spencer Matthews asked Lewis Capaldi to perform at their wedding - but got snubbed.

The couple wed in an intimate ceremony in Scotland back in 2018 when Vogue was pregant with their first child Theodore.

But in showbiz style, they threw a second lavish ceremony for their friends and family in London last year - ordained by Spencer’s best pal and fellow Made In Chelsea star Jamie Laing.

Speaking on their new podcast, Spencer and Vogue, the reality TV stars admitted he slid into Lewis’ DMs on Instagram last year to perform at the star studded event.

The Dublin DJ, 34, who branded the attempt “mortifying” explained: “Spenny has been known to DM a celeb. And some times they don’t respond.

“Lewis Capaldi, who is very funny on Instagram, very funny, how could you even think he was going to respond to you?”

As she mocked Spencer for being ‘upset’ that Lewis didn’t respond, an unapologetic Spencer, 32, quipped: “I couldn’t care less!’

“I wanted him to sing at our wedding party, that’s what it was.”

Laughing, Vogue sarcastically interjected: ‘Oh that’s all!

‘”Hey Lewis I know you haven’t got much on, would you mind, popping down to London to sing at my wedding party!”’

She added: “Oh my god what were you thinking?

“Lewis Capaldi is quite busy performing at Glastonbury and things like that, he’s not going to come and perform at our wedding party.”

The admission comes as Vogue opened up about her heartbreak as her family have still not got to meet her new daughter Gigi, who she welcomed in London in July.

Opening up about life in lockdown with a newborn during an appearance on Channel 4’s Steph’s Packed Lunch, she said:

“The only bad thing I would say is not being able to go and see family because my sister hasn’t met her and neither has my brother.

“That’s the only thing. It’s been quite nice other than that because we’ve got to spend so much time together as a family. It’s been a good transition for Theodore.”
