Vogue Williams reveals one thing she wouldn't do after ultimate Irish betrayal

Vogue Williams said she “wouldn’t be caught dead” in an England jersey but admitted she is conflicted about which country to support in sport.

The Dubliner is currently living in London with her former Made in Chelsea star husband Spencer Matthews and their two-year-old son Theodore and daughter Gigi, who turns one next week.

However, it seems while she was supporting England in the Euro 2020 final on Sunday, she won’t be leaving her home colours behind anytime soon.

Speaking on their podcast, Spencer And Vogue, following England’s defeat to Italy, she said: “I was very up for England [on Sunday], but I wouldn’t be caught dead in an English jersey.”

Yet despite her adoration for Ireland and her home town Howth, the model and presenter admitted her support is swayed when it comes to sport. She said: “I’m not in any way patriotic towards England obviously, because I’m Irish. I’d always be up for Ireland obviously, but we are crap at football so we are never in anything good.

“So Ireland would be my first choice, then I would have said Scotland but I think it might be England in second place now.

“Because my stepdad is Scottish. I had no affiliation to England before you.

“I might have turned a corner, it might go Ireland, England, but I don’t know 100% yet. I can’t go Scotland because they are not great at anything either.”

Vogue said she has regrets that she turned down a prestigious invitation to watch the football final instead.

She added: “I got invited to Wimbledon and do you know what I regret not going to Wimbledon.”

Meanwhile, as the conversation progressed to other sports, including swimming, Spencer and Vogue bickered over the Irish language.

When Vogue said: “Do you know what swimming is Irish, ‘Ag snamh’. I love swimming with the kids.”

In their usual banter, Spencer quickly quipped back: “Ag snamh?

“Irish is a really ugly language, I’m just going
to throw it out there. Like it’s not nice.”
