Vogue Williams breaks silence on Spencer Matthews 'split' ahead of I'm A Celeb stint

Vogue Williams has responded to speculation about the state of her and Spencer Matthews marriage after reports emerged that the pair have quietly gone their separate ways professionally.

According to the Daily Mail, Matthews, 37, has parted company with his long-time agent at Money Management and signed with talent powerhouse YMU, whose clients include Ant and Dec, Claudia Winkleman and Davina McCall.

Sources claimed the alleged move is “very telling” - especially as it comes after it was revealed Matthews won’t be able to support William’s stint on I’m A Celebrity.

“This separation is staggering and very telling at the same time. They did everything together and then boom, that’s it, Spencer goes at it alone,” a source told The Daily Mail.

“Going into the jungle is massive for Vogue, she’s leaving her three beloved kids behind. Spencer is also going off and won’t be there to meet her at the end of the bridge.”

The insider added: “The whole thing is very strange. It certainly draws a line in the sand when it comes to their careers – they are now undeniably separate.”

Matthews won’t be at I’m A Celebrity’s famous bridge to greet Williams when she leaves the jungle because he will be undertaking his latest physical challenge, Project Se7en, which ends on December 6 - a day before the final.

He is currently in Cape Town with a plan to complete in seven triathlons across seven continents in just 21 days.

Weighing in on the speculation ahead of her I’m A Celeb stint, Williams, 40, told Joanne McNally on their podcast, My Therapist Ghosted Me: “It said, ‘Spencer and Vogue are headed for a breakup because they’re spending so much time apart.’

“And I could only assume it was because he wasn’t in my content for Affric, because he came up on the Saturday. But I’m like, maybe it’s because he’s going away as well on his thing for three weeks..”

The Irish presenter shared of her frustration with the unfounded gossip: “But I’m like, can we not spend, like, any time apart?

“Do we have to be sewn together now to show that we’re a united front.”

When news of the couple’s business split broke, a source told Daily Mail: “This separation is staggering and very telling at the same time. They did everything together and then boom, that’s it, Spencer goes at it alone.

Matthews and Williams married in 2018 after meeting on the Channel 4 reality show The Jump in 2017.

They share three children - Theodore, seven, Gigi, five, and three-year-old Otto - and live in Battersea, southwest London.

The couple used to host a podcast called Spencer and Vogue which ended in January.

Williams claimed at the time that her husband “didn’t enjoy it anymore”.

Revealing the news, Matthews told listeners: “I’m moving on from this podcast to pursue other business interests and focus on my upcoming challenge.

“I’ve loved doing this show and it would never have been as popular as it would be without the listeners.”
