During lockdown and being separated from our friends, families, partners and loved ones, it’s been more important than ever to stay connected. Whether it’s via video calling, phone or texting - even entertaining yourself by scrolling, watching films and box sets or social media, Vodafone is on hand to make sure you’re well connected and especially if you work for the NHS or are a care worker.
The leading mobile phone network is now the first operator to provide free unlimited data to NHS staff and care workers who are Pay as You Go (PAYG) customers. This extension follows Vodafone ’s previous announcement where they provided free unlimited data to NHS staff and care workers who were Pay Monthly customers.
Care workers and NHS staff on Vodafone’s PAYG tariffs who buy a minimum £10 Big Value Bundle will be upgraded to free unlimited data and 6,000 minutes. The offer will be valid for up to 6 months from the date of redemption, with each purchase of a £10 Big Value Bundle activating the free unlimited data and 6,000 minutes.
This offer is on until 26th June and Vodafone will provision all NHS staff applications and the first 50,000 care works who apply, so you'll need to act fast.
Eligible customers will need to visit https://keepconnected.vodafone.co.uk and register their NHS email address (for NHS staff) or their care company’s name, address and their personal email (for care workers). Once the details are verified customers they will be automatically upgraded to the offer and notified.
On the 6th May, NHS staff and care workers were originally able to six months free unlimited data (until 26th June), but at this time it was restricted to Pay Monthly customers only.
Vodafone UK Chief Executive Officer Nick Jeffery said: "We are proud to have led the way in offering NHS staff unlimited free data and including care workers in that offer. Until today, we were only able to offer this benefit to Pay Monthly customers but we know many NHS staff and care workers choose the flexibility of our Pay As You Go services so we have worked hard to find a solution that includes them."
