Vodafone extends Unlimited Data offer for NHS and it now includes care workers

We’ve been relying on our phone more than ever during lockdown as a way to keep in touch with family members, partners we are unable to see and take part in the odd virtual pub quiz. Vodafone have been doing their bit for NHS staff and vulnerable customers - making sure they can stay in touch, stream and scroll, but the offer is about to get much better.

They’ve extended their offer of free access to unlimited mobile data for a further six months to NHS workers and customers who are classed as vulnerable. In addition to this, Vodafone have now added UK care workers to those eligible who can also now claim the offer.

The extension follows Vodafone’s original offer, which was announced on April 6th of 30 days’ unlimited free data for NHS staff, vulnerable customers and half a million Pay Monthly customers.

Care workers who are Vodafone Pay Monthly customers can redeem the unlimited data offer by going to keepconnected.vodafone.co.uk and entering their employer’s name, address and their email.

The offer will be valid for six months from the date of redemption and Vodafone will cater for all NHS staff applications and the first 250,000 care workers who apply.

The offer will be open until 6th June 2020, which means eligible applicants could benefit from unlimited free data until 5th December 2020.

For anyone working for the NHS who isn’t registered as such with Vodafone needs to enter their NHS email address. Once the details are verified, they will be automatically upgraded to the offer and notified.

Just as they have previously, Vodafone will be automatically supplying Pay Monthly customers they have as listed or working for the NHS and flagged as vulnerable in their systems and these customers will be informed by text message.

Vodafone UK Chief Executive Officer Nick Jeffery said: "We are so pleased to be able to extend our original offer for NHS workers and our vulnerable customers, and to be able to now add care workers in recognition of the amazing contribution they’re making at this time. We will continue to do what we can to say thank you to those on the front lines doing such valuable work in this crisis."
