Irish customers are suffering from a loss of signal and other services as communications firm Vodafone confirmed it is investigating a "potential outage".
The issue appears to be affecting customers across Dublin and several other parts of Ireland.
4G mobile internet and phone coverage, as well as home broadband, appears to have been affected.
Downdetector.ie says that recent reports are mostly originating from Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Galway, Tullamore, Kilkenny, Drogheda, Clonmel, Mullingar, and Waterford.
It said Vodafone has been having issues since 2.42pm. Other countries in Europe are also understood to be affected.
Customers took to social media to vent their frustration at the situation.
One said: "Any update on the data outage? No data on the phone in Dundrum Dublin. 4G symbol is displaying."
Another added: "Is there a problem with service in the Dublin 22 area, 4g symbol on but not connecting."
Vodafone took to Twitter to confirm it is investigating complaints.
They said: "We are currently investigating a potential outage to our fixed and mobile services.
"We thank you for your patience as we work to get this resolved."
It later added that service teams were working on a fix.
But several people were unimpressed with the message, claiming the issue was not "potential" but "actual".
Restaurant Mongolian BBQ in Dublin replied: "No BB (broadband) means no till system or credit card machine for us, disaster during a busy lunch, and the helpline just hung up."
