Vodafone and O2 customers unable to make calls as mobile phone networks 'down in UK'

A number of major phone networks have gone down throughout the UK leaving customers unable to make or receive calls.

Vodafone, O2, EE, Tesco Mobile and Three are among those said to be experiencing problems, with the blackout causing havoc with those working at home.

Thousands of mobile users took to Twitter to highlight the problem, reporting that they receive a “call ended” message whenever they try to make a call.

All calls have been cut off with the issue arising in the last hour, according to downdetector.co.uk.
