Vladimir Putin 'swearing and yelling' after mansion he shares with lover is leaked

Vladimir Putin was "swearing and yelling" over leaks showing the opulent "palace" he is believed to share with his gymnast lover and children with images broadcast around the world, it is reported.

The Russian leader and Alina Kabaeva are said to enjoy a secret life at the forest palace by Lake Valdayskoye which is halfway between Moscow and St Petersburg.

And Putin is blaming his defence and security chiefs for what he sees as a failure to protect him with the images of the mansion leaking out, reports Telegram channel General SVR.

The outlet claims to have inside knowledge of Putin’s circle but without providing proof of its access.

"No-one has seen the president so furious,” stated the channel which claimed he had angry exchanges with his top “power” apparatchiks and a row with Kabaeva.

He was allegedly “swearing” and “yelling” while blaming his FSB security service as well as Kabaeva’s friends for the leak.

The FSB leadership were blamed for the exposing of his hidden life with Kabaeva by independent Russian media outlet Proekt.

While it was claimed on the channel that Kabaeva's friends were responsible in the eyes of Putin as they "talk on every corner about everything they know and don't know.”

It added: “Putin said that he had 100% information that the leak came from Kabaeva's circle of friends."

Putin ordered the building of the stunning 13,000 square feet property so that it would be fit for a "royal residence" after coming to power at the turn of the millennium and he wanted it styled "like St Petersburg" meaning lavish as it would have been for the Russian tsars.

He was able to live there under the radar with Kabaeva, a former Olympic rhythmic gymnast, until the mansion came under the spotlight by investigative reporters.

The dacha is surrounded by a VIP settlement and heavily guarded by the elite FSO security service.

An image shows Putin's study with ornate mahogany furniture while another shows gilded chairs around a glass table and a spherical chandelier, with golden leaves, hanging from the ceiling.

In another photo is a chandelier seemingly decorated with rubies.

Putin is reported to have bought Kabaeva, 39, a £100million property empire.

The two have never spoken publicly about whether they are a couple or if they have children together although it is rumoured that they have at least two.

The investigation by Proekt claimed that they have kids and said there is a “constant presence of children in the residence”.

The Proekt report said: “The royal scale of the purchase as well as the regal name of the residential complex seem to hint at the special status of the person who was to live in this luxury. The status of this person is indeed special.

“She is the uncrowned queen of Russia, the secret concubine of President Putin and the alleged mother of his children.”
