Vladimir Coufal to start, Aaron Cresswell decision - West Ham predicted XI to take on Chelsea

West Ham manager David Moyes is expected to stick with the majority of the team that took on Brighton in midweek with the boss facing a big call over Aaron Cresswell.

Cresswell was a fitness doubt for Brighton and was not risked and the defender is once again a doubt for this afternoon's clash against Chelsea.

If, as expected, the left-back is not deemed fit to start, Moyes will likely remain with the combination of Ben Johnson at left-back and Vladimir Coufal on the right. Ryan Fredericks' pace could be utilised against the speed of Reece James if Moyes wishes to freshen up his backline.

Between the full-backs, Kurt Zouma and Craig Dawson are set to continue in the heart of the defence ahead of No.1 Lukasz Fabianski, whose fine form is keeping Alphonse Areola on the sidelines. Moyes also has the option of going to three centre-backs and could bring Issa Diop into the backline if he decides to match Chelsea's formation.

Ahead of the defence, Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek look set to start in Moyes' preferred 4-2-3-1 formation with Rice set to captain the team against the side he spent time with as a youngster.

Jarrod Bowen sat out the defeat to Manchester City last weekend but returned to the side for the clash with Brighton and is once again expected to remain in the team for the visit of Chelsea.

Alongside Bowen in the attacking trio, Said Benrahma and Pablo Fornals are likely to remain in the team behind lone striker Michail Antonio.

Manuel Lanzini has impressed off the bench of late and could push for a start if Moyes wants to introduce fresh legs into his midfield.

Predicted West Ham XI - Fabianski; Coufal, Zouma, Dawson, Johnson; Rice, Soucek; Fornals, Benrahma, Bowen; Antonio
