Brazilian esports organization Vivo Keyd Stars and online iGaming platform EstrelaBet are launching a new campaign titled “Bet on Life – Be a Hero”, aiming to mobilize the gaming community in support of blood donation in the country.
The initiative kicks off on Monday, July 14, at the Pró-Sangue Foundation, Posto Clínicas in São Paulo, with the participation of Vivo Keyd players. Starting at 10 am, members from different esports teams will be present at the donation site to lead by example and encourage their fans and followers to join the cause.

The campaign arrives at a time when Brazil continues to face challenges in maintaining a stable blood supply. According to the Ministry of Health, only 1.6% of the Brazilian population donated blood in 2024. Although over 3.3 million blood bags were collected that year, a slight increase from 2023, the demand has continued to grow.
For EstrelaBet and Vivo Keyd Stars, this campaign is more than a one-day event—it’s a statement on the power of the esports and gaming community in promoting civic engagement.
Victor Blecker, head of branding at EstrelaBet, emphasized the strength of the gaming and esports betting fans. “The gaming community is extremely participatory, and we, together with Vivo Keyd Stars, believe in the power of this engagement for causes that generate real impact,” Blecker said.
Vivo Keyd Stars CEO Hugo Tristão echoed the sentiment, drawing parallels between esports teamwork and real-life solidarity. “Donating blood is a way to support your team. In the game, we can heal or provide that decisive cover. In this case, the team is society, when it needs it most,” Tristão said.
“Participating in this campaign with our players is a way of showing that values such as solidarity, collective spirit, and commitment are common to any sport, including esports,” Tristão added. “We hope that our fans buy into this idea and join us on this mission.”
Vivo Keyd Stars field teams in League of Legends and CS2. They also had squads in Dota 2, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, and other esports titles in the past.

Those willing to donate can reserve their spot via prosangue.sp.gov.br. Make sure that you are in good health, between 16 and 69 years old, and have a valid ID with a photo to present.
