Melbourne Symphony Orchestra’s concertmaster Dale Barltrop leads the orchestra in a program which features some of the Baroque era’s most illustrious works. The understated beauty of Bach’s Concerto for Two Violins is followed by the adrenaline-charged virtuosity of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons. Variations on a theme of Frank Bridge, the masterwork that launched Britten’s career is also on the program.
