Vitor Belfort has an opponent for his ONE Championship debut.
Belfort (26-14) will face Alain Ngalani (4-5), he revealed in a recent interview with “Asian MMA.” The date, location and weight in which the fight will be contested at, were not mentioned by Belfort in the interview, but Ngalani fights at heavyweight.
Belfort hung up his gloves following a knockout loss to Lyoto Machida in 2018, but later that year announced he was planning on returning to competition. He signed with ONE a little more than a year ago, and it appears he’s edging closer to his promotional debut.
He will take on Hong Kong’s Ngalani, a former kickboxer who’s owner of the fastest knockout in ONE heavyweight history. He took out Hideki Sekine in just 11 seconds in 2017 and is coming off a first-round stoppage loss to Mauro Cerilli in March 2019.
