Paisley Sheriff Court heard Heron, of Argyle Street in Paisley, had been chatting away with the manager on duty just prior to swiping the merchandise.
Procurator fiscal depute Kirsten Brierley told the court: “The witness, the manager, was working in the Holland & Barrett store in Paisley when the accused Heron entered at around 5pm and made her way to the rear of the shop to speak to the manager.
“At that time the manager noted a certain level of stock and left the accused to deal with another customer.
“The manager then noticed items, the Hair Gummies, were missing.
“The accused left the shop but made no attempt to pay for any of the items.
“The manager viewed CCTV, which showed the accused taking the items and stealing them before leaving the shop.”
The shop boss called cops who quickly traced and arrested Heron.
The court heard officers “recovered items from the accused’s property.”
The stock comprising vitamins and a facial treatment was valued at £54.
Heron appeared in the dock on Thursday and pleaded guilty to stealing a quantity of goods from Holland & Barrett, High Street, Paisley.
Defence agent David Nicholson said his client was admitting responsibility for the theft.
He added that Heron was currently serving a Community Payback Order handed her at Paisley Sheriff Court and the sheriff may benefit from background reports before sentencing her.
Sheriff Mark Thorley said he would call for a Criminal Justice Social Work Report and a Restriction of Liberty assessment, and that he was prepared to release her on bail.
However he said she was subject to a special condition that she does not enter the shop in Paisley.
He told her: “You are not to enter Holland & Barret. Do you understand that?”
Heron replied: “Yes.”
She was also reminded to cooperate with the social work department in the preparation of reports.
Heron was ordered back to court on September 9, when she will discover her fate.
