There is one important indicator that may reveal a Vitamin B12 deficiency, according to a health news outlet.
The marker, which can be seen around the eyes, could reveal which people need to obtain more of the important B vitamin.
B12 is crucial for a healthy nervous system and brain, and can be naturally acquired by eating foods such as fish, meat, dairy, and eggs.

Because of its relation to the nervous system, low levels of the vitamin can lead to complications on the extremities as they are more touch-sensitive.
As reported by Edinburgh Live, another key indicator of a deficiency is involuntary eyelid movement - referred to as eye blepharospasm.
According to Medical Daily: “Eye twitching and eyelid spasms are also signs that could help pinpoint vitamin B12 deficiency.”
Research states that the condition can be reversed, with some evidence suggesting that administration of B12 may help.
As a general rule, the UK Government recommends 1.5 micrograms a day for adults.
Those with a dietary deficiency will sometimes be offered supplementation. Others who are unable to absorb the nutrient naturally may be given a B12 injection to top up levels.
B12 injections can only be administered under prescription in the UK.
