Visitors must take lateral flow test before visiting Forth Valley Royal Hospital

Anyone visiting Forth Valley Royal Hospital is being told they must take a lateral flow test before doing so.

This has to be done prior to every visit, and everyone will be asked to provide contact details for Track and Trace.

NHS Forth Valley bosses say doing so will reduce the chances of taking coronavirus into hospital across the area.

A spokesperson for the health board said: "Following guidance from Scottish Government, patients will continue to have access to a single daily visit from a maximum of two people (preferably from the same household) visiting at the same time for a period of 45 minutes.

"All visits must be arranged in advance with ward staff to allow physical distancing measures to be maintained within the ward areas.

"Details of visiting arrangements for other areas (including antenatal appointments, scans, maternity wards, neonatal unit and children’s ward) are outlined below.

"There are no restrictions on time or the number of people providing support for patients receiving end of life care.
