Visit Tirumala only once a year, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu tells VVIPs

TIRUPATI: Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, who offered prayers to Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala on Thursday morning, had some advice for VVIPs who visit the hill temple several times during a year.

"Since long I had decided that the privilege extended by the TTD should not be misused. I have imposed a self restriction on myself and have made it a point to visit Tirumala only once in a year. It would be great if all those assuming key positions follow this practice as it will help the TTD to facilitate darshan to common devotees," Venkaiah Naidu said.

TTD often goes out of the way to provide quality darshan toVIPs whenever they visit Tirumala temple.

The Vice President, who attended his granddaughter's wedding in Tirumala on Thursday, also lauded the efforts of the temple body for providing the best services to devotees.
