
The Athenee Hotel Bangkok is to present a series of multi-course gourmet menus by Nicolas Isnard, co-owner and chef of Michelin-starred restaurant Auberge de la Charme, in Prenois, France, on Nov 14-17.
Originally from Hyères in the south of France, Isnardlearned his way around the kitchen from his Italian grandmother and enjoyed his own culinary experiments from a very young age.
As a professional, his career profile includes working as a chef de partie of Relais & Châteaux's Michelin-starred Le Prieure and then sous chef at Michelin-starred Le Vieux Logis, before heading to the two-starred La Rotonde, in Lyon.

By the time he was 25, he was working with three-starred culinary master Gilles Goujon at Auberge du Vieux Puits in Fontjoncouse. Later, Isnard garnered the Young Talent award by a Gault Millau while directing the kitchen of Chateau de Curzay in Curzay-sur-Vonne.
In 2009, he opened Auberge de la Charme, and within a year of its operation the restaurant was awarded a Michelin star. Since then, its head chef, Isnard, has become a globally sought-after culinary consultant showcasing his cooking flair in major cities across the globe, including in Beijing, Singapore, Dubai, Moscow, Abu Dhabi, Jakarta, Ho Chi Minh, Casablanca and Macau.
Isnard is celebrated for his skill in combining tradition with innovation and discipline with creativity, all with profound respect for rustic flavours and provincial produce.
At the Athenee Bangkok, the star-studded French chef will showcase his culinary finesse through a series of multi-course lunch and dinner menus at the hotel's Reflexions restaurant. Featured dishes include tuna ceviche and piquillo pepper sorbet; lobster ravioli with Chiang Mai dashi; scallops carpaccio and Provençal eggplant caviar; and, of course, Isnard's signature contemporary onion soup.
Prices are 2,000 baht per person for a three-course lunch; 2,500 baht per person for a five-course lunch; 3,800 baht per person for a seven-course dinner; and 4,200 baht per person for a nine-course dinner. Wine-pairing package is also available.
