Virus cases in Tokyo top 200 for 2 straight days

Tokyo Gov. Yuriko Koike told the press there will be about 230-240 newly reported coronavirus infections in Tokyo, on Wednesday morning. As of Tuesday, 9,816 people have been infected in the capital, and the number is expected to exceed 10,000 on Wednesday.

The daily number of newly infected people has exceeded 100 every day since July 9, and that number has topped 200 for two consecutive days since Tuesday's number of 237 cases.
