"IT Edition" is the theme of the second "Virtual Career Fair", which will gather more than 1,000 openings from more than 50 leading technology companies from Wednesday to Friday.
Organised by JobsDB, Asia's leading job search platform, the event follows the success of the first edition of its online job fair four months ago which drew a total of 400,000 registered participants and over 30,000 job applications.
As IT is a line of work that plays an important role in driving businesses to respond to the rapid changes in today's world, the upcoming job fair will become a hub for IT job seekers from all over the country and for organisations looking for the right people.
There are interactive booths where job seekers can obtain information regarding jobs and required qualifications at the company of their interest. They can meet and talk directly with human resources officials via live chat that allows real-time questions and answers. They can also post questions via a chatbot that will provide answers around the clock to ensure that job seekers are able to quickly and conveniently scan for the right job.
There will also be video streaming sessions with experts and executives from Ascend Group, Krungsri Group, and Alchemist, a consulting unit of Rabbit Digital Group. They will be sharing information about career paths in the technology and IT fields, skills needed for particular careers, and job search techniques for new graduates.
Another highlight will be the "Career Advice Webinar" to help boost the confidence of jobseekers. They will dive into an in-depth overview of the job market amid the Covid-19 pandemic and provide some resume writing techniques by experts at JobsDB.
