HYDERABAD: Virtual autopsy is the need of the hour in the country, said Dr Pragnesh Parmar, head of forensic medicine and toxicology, AIIMS Bibinagar.
Discussing the current status of forensic radiology in India and future scope of virtual autopsy at a national CME on forensic radiology at AIIMS Bibinagar on Monday, he said: “Use CT scan and MRI to find out cause of death instead of conventional dissection of a body.”
Dr Parmar said technologies help in dignified management of the dead and added that virtual autopsy centres need to be established in various parts of the country.
