We’re a few weeks in now, and the UK like the rest of the world is still in the grips of the coronavirus lockdown.
Things are tough out there, but there’s a silver lining – the UK’s cultural output has moved online, and millions of us have been tuning in for theatre shows, live comedy and art exhibitions from our sofas.
Nightlife, too, has been making its way into people’s homes through virtual club nights, and people are finding ways of enjoying live music during testing times.
These are our top picks of the things to get up to online today – make sure to check out our main guide for things to keep yourself occupied with at home, too.
Join Gareth Malone for a choir sing along

Head to YouTube from 5.30pm to join choirmaster Gareth Malone for a virtual singing session this evening. Work out online with Shona Vertue

Australian personal trainer Shona Vertue has been doing her bit to help people get fit during lockdown, by hosting free workouts each week. You might struggle to catch her live-streamed sessions due to the time difference, but don't worry if you miss them – the videos are instantly made available to catch up on from her YouTube channel, which has over 70,000 subscribers.
Enjoy a virtual wine tasting

One of the best places for wine masterclasses and tastings in London is moving things online, with 67 Pall Mall launching a series of sessions over Zoom. This evening from 6pm, writer and Master of Wine Jasper Morris leads a discussion on the golden years of the Bergundy region via Zoom, encouraging viewers to open a bottle and join him.
Take an online pub quiz

One of the best weekly online quizzes is back this evening, with low-alcohol beer brand Big Drop Brewing Co. hosting a Living Room Pub Quiz on YouTube Live from 7pm. Entry is free of charge, and can be enjoyed with one of Big Drop’s award-winning 0.5 per cent ABV beers, which are currently available for home delivery.
