Virgin Voyages announces new itineraries for ship Valiant Lady in 2021 and 2022

Virgin Voyages has unveiled a series of glamorous new itineraries for its second ship, Valiant Lady.

Sir Richard Branson's cruise line is due to launch the ship next spring on a series of Mediterranean itineraries, but come winter time, the company has revealed she will be heading to the Caribbean.

Valiant Lady is due to make her debut in May 2021, homeporting in Barcelona and sailing to destinations across Ibiza, Corsica and Monaco, as well as various spots in Italy and France.

With the launch of the new Caribbean itineraries, the ship will also be offering eight-night and six-night sailings with visits to the likes of the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Mexico and St Croix.

There will also be ports of call to the Beach Club at Bimini, the cruise line's private island.

It's worth noting that while sailing in the Caribbean, Valiant Lady will be departing from Miami, so Brits will need to travel to the city to begin the holiday.

At the time of writing, the USA is currently closed to Brits due to the coronavirus pandemic - and the Foreign Office is advising against all cruise travel.

As a result of the pandemic, Virgin Voyages has been forced to suspend all sailings until the 31st October 2020, meaning that its first voyages have been affected.

The line's first ever ship, Scarlet Lady, was due to launch earlier this year, but this was pushed back when the pandemic broke.

However, Sir Richard Branson had offered Brits a sneak peek by bringing the ship to Dover, ahead of her heading to Miami where she will homeport.

The ship, which boasts a gross tonnage of 110,000, won't be offering a traditional cruise holiday experience; instead, sailors will find vegan menus, drag-inspired brunches, rockstar-themed suites, and even an onboard tattoo parlour.
