Virgin Media customers across the capital and surrounding areas have been left without broadband for a short period of time this afternoon (Tuesday July 20) due to a signal outage.
Businesses and households across Edinburgh, Fife and the Lothians are thought to have been impacted but the capital is thought to be the worst affected area.
The latest report for Virgin Media outages by istheservicedown.co.uk in Edinburgh revealed that the listed postal codes experiencing issues are : EH11, EH7, EH12, EH4, EH10, EH9, EH3 and EH16.
However Dunfermline, Kirkcaldy, Broxburn, Bonnyrigg, Cowdenbeath and Burntisland have all reported recent outages.
Around 25 issues have been reported every hour since 9am this morning - with issues appearing to peak at around noon.
The vast majority of issues reported were in relation to internet provision (65 percent); with the second most reported issue being Wi-fi (13 percent).
