Virgin Media News reporter Paul Quinn ties the knot with long-term love Shane Durr in Cabra Castle

Virgin Media News reporter Paul Quinn married his partner Shane Durr in a winter wedding earlier this week.

The pair tied the knot in Cabra Castle, Co Cavan on Monday, December 27.

After the ceremony, which was attended by their close friends and family, the grooms posed in matching tuxedos with jackets made of velvet material, RSVP reports.

The couple were snapped in front of an impressive fireworks display later in the evening.

Sharing the first look at their big day, Paul simply captioned the image: "27th | December | 2021 - The best day of our lives @shanedurr."

A host of well-known personalities shared heartfelt messages to Quinn and Durr on their big day.

Ireland AM presenter Ger Treacy was quick to comment on the good news on Instagram. She said: "Aww absolutely gorgeous pic. I am so so happy for you both. Massive congrats my fabulous friend xxx"

Newstalk's Ciara Kelly, entertainment reporter Paul Ryder and drag superstar and podcast host Davina Devine also shared their well wishes.

Quinn rose to prominence with the onset of the pandemic, covering daily case numbers alongside colleagues Zara King and Richard Chambers.

Cabra Castle has also hosted a number of Ireland’s other famous faces.

James Patrice’s sister Vanessa Butler tied the knot there back in March, with just six guests present as a result of the government restrictions in place at the time.

Fair City actress Aoibheann McCaul also held her wedding to former Meath footballer Brian Farrell at Cabra Castle in 2018.
