Virgin Atlantic advertises jobs for 'Thomas Cook cabin crew only'

Virgin Atlantic has advertised jobs for 'Thomas Cook cabin crew only' just hours after the company collapsed.

The holiday firm announced it had gone into liquidation in the early hours of Monday morning (September 23), leaving holidaymakers stranded and staff facing uncertain futures .

Thousands of jobs are now at risk in the UK, including cabin crew members.

However, they are now being approached by Virgin Atlantic, which has begun advertising roles specifically for Thomas Cook cabin crew, Wales Online reports .

A job post was advertised on Virgin's site yesterday afternoon, which read: "We have a set up a specific recruitment path to support any Thomas Cook Cabin Crew after the sad announcement that the company has ceased operations.

"If you are committed to the highest professional standards and delivering for our customers then we’d love to talk to you."

The airline is offering full time contracts with a salary of £17,074, with cabin crew being required to fly from London Heathrow and London Gatwick to long-haul destinations.
