Thomas Cook workers have been offered the opportunity to apply for a new job hours after the company collapsed.
The tourism giant announced early on Monday that it had ceased trading after failing to secure a last-ditch rescue deal, leaving an estimated 150,000 Britons abroad awaiting repatriation.
According to Thomas Cook 's website, as of this year the group employed 21,000 people in 16 countries, operated 105 aircraft and 200 own-brand hotels and resorts.
However, members of the cabin crew team are being approached by Virgin Atlantic.
A job post was advertised on Virgin's site earlier this afternoon, specifically asking for Thomas Cook cabin crew to apply.
They said: "We have a set up a specific recruitment path to support any Thomas Cook Cabin Crew after the sad announcement that the company has ceased operations.
"If you are committed to the highest professional standards and delivering for our customers then we’d love to talk to you."
The airline, founded by Richard Branson, is offering full time contracts with a salary of £17,074 per annum plus 'excellent' benefits.
Cabin crew will be required to fly from London Heathrow and London Gatwick to long-haul destinations.
Perks of the job include up to seven flights a year to a wide range of Virgin Atlantic destination.
