Liverpool could have beaten Napoli on Wednesday night had Virgil van Dijk made a meal of a potential foul in the build up to the Italian's opener.
That is according to Ruud Gullit who thinks his compatriot's honesty was his undoing as Dries Mertens put Napoli ahead.
The Belgian raced clear before volleying past Alisson, but it looks as if he deliberately fouled Van Dijk in the build up.
VAR reviewed the goal but it still stood and Gullit sees it as a perfect example why players have to make the most of any foul.
"People ask why you go to the ground, and now you know why,” the Dutchman told beinSPORTS.
“It is because if you don’t do that he thinks it is a minor thing even though it is a foul. So you know you have to go down in order to get the attention it deserves.
“This is what happens.”
Van Dijk had looked to be in some discomfort as he laid on the ground before soldiering on for the remainder.

His central defensive partner Dejan Lovren was the man to cancel out Mertens' goal in the second-half.
But despite their best efforts the Reds could not find that elusive winner and will require a win in their final group game to qualify, but Jurgen Klopp admitted after the game that Napoli had proved challenging.
He said: "The way Napoli set up, it didn’t help that they scored, they could follow their plan all the time, we had to increase pressure all the time.
"We were not brilliant but we put pressure on them. I was not happy with the last 15 minutes of the first half. Second half it was just intense and of course it’s not easy, they really defended the goal they had."
