All eyes were on Virgil van Dijk vs Erling Haaland as the Netherlands took on Norway on Wednesday night.
And Borussia Dortmund hotshot Haaland left an impression on his Liverpool counterpart after a clash in their 1-1 draw.
Haaland scored the opener for his side but it was a physical duel with Van Dijk which saw the centre-back suffer a finger injury.
Van Dijk needed brief treatment on the sidelines with fears of a dislocated finger that was strapped up by medics, although he was able to play on and it was later confirmed he did not suffer any broken bones.
Speaking to TV2 in Norway after the match, Haaland revealed that he believed he had “snapped his finger” as Van Dijk informed him he feared a break when the incident happened.

“I actually snapped his finger on him,” Haaland claimed. “I do not know how it happened. He just said ‘f***ing hell, you broke my finger’.
“He's good, so to speak,” he added. “I have no idea how I snapped his finger. That's just the way it is.”
Van Dijk was also interviewed after the game and pushed away a fan who approached him.
“They have speed in the team and play very directly. That's their quality,” Van Dijk said of the game.
“Sometimes we defended well, but sometimes they let through. We missed two chances, it was not too bad.”
Much was made of the battle between the two big names ahead of the clash.
Haaland was asked for his views on Van Dijk during his pre-match media duties.
"I do not really fear anyone,” he said. “I think he is the best defender. I think quite a few others in the room agree with me on that.
“He is fast, strong and "bad" smart, and there are three important things you must have.
"I have played against him twice, I have said that he is the best I have met. He is a good player, so we have to try to play around him.”
