Van Dijk smartly avoids Pickford question
Virgil van Dijk's 2020/21 season was cut cruelly short following a horror tackle in the Merseyside derby.
Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford's horror challenge left Van Dijk with a cruciate ligament injury and kept him on the sidelines for nine months.
While on international duty, the Liverpool defender was asked what it was like missing the 2020 European Championships and seeing Pickford reach the final with England.
Van Dijk made sure he didn't get drawn into an early war of the words with his answer.

Aquilani didn't want Anfield move
Replacing Xabi Alonso at the heart of Liverpool's midfield was always going to be a big task for anyone.
Alberto Aquilani was brought in to do just that in 2009, signing from from AS Roma for £20million.
Things did not go to plan however.
Injured when he arrived at Anfield, Aquilani had to wait for his debut and the midfielder spoke to the ECHO exclusively to detail his time on Merseyside.
