Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan, whose upcoming movie Badrinath Ki Dulhania is set to hit the theatres on March 10, shared a picture with India captain Virat Kohli on his Twitter account on Wednesday, stating that there was a lot to be learnt from the swashbuckling right-handed batsman.
Dhawan, who has been promoting the movie on various platforms, including social media, was seen standing opposite to Kohli with the two sporting a similar hairstyle. “Badri is only @imVkohli fan.Thank you virat for being so cool and humble we all have a lot to learn from u #realhero,” the tweet, which has been liked and retweeted a number of times since, stated.
He also put up a collage of the duo on Instagram stating: “Badri is only @virat.kohli fan. When I asked my director who does Badri love @shashankkhaitan said #viratkohli. Luckily virat was cool enough to let me come and cut my hair along side him. Let me tell you he is very down to earth and humble. He is a national treasure today but I am fan of his because he hasn’t changed even a little from when I meet him 4 years back #realhero.”
The movie has been written and directed by Shashank Khaitan and has been produced by Karan Johar under the banner of Dharma Productions.
This is not the first time that a cricketer has been a part of Bollywood promotions though. Former India captain Sourav Ganguly’s Dubsmash video to promote Ranveer Singh’s Bajirao Mastani had gone viral in 2015.
