Makers of the comedy horror series 'Wednesday' are garnering appreciation for the show's writing, acting, direction and whatnot. Among other things, Wednesday Addams' dark gothic look, pulled off perfectly by Jenna Ortega, has a fandom of its own.
With lots of fashion influencers experimenting with creating their own Wednesday Addams look, this little girl's costume of Wednesday wins the internet as it carries the perfect essence of Wednesday's character - wit.
Mom influencer Anna shared the video of her daughter dressed as Wednesday on her Instagram handle, which has now gone viral, amassing more than 43 million views and more than 1.6 million likes.
In the video, the little girl can be seen dressed in a crisp white shirt, black sweater and black skirt. She also braided her hair like Jenna. The highlight of her outfit is how she makes 'Thing' with her own hand, using a bit of toilet roll and tape. In a super clever manner, she twists her right arm to hide it behind her body, and places her hand over her head. Then she moves her fingers, to make it look as if 'Thing' is walking.
The caption read, "When she comes running in saying "mummy look at me in Wednesday!" Bit of toilet roll and kids make up, she's a clever one. Have you watch Wednesday on Netflix yet? I really liked it!"
Netizens flooded the post with words of appreciation for the little one's creativity.
One user wrote, "She is super creative!"
"I was thinking that it's a filter. Great creativity. Loved it," another added.
One expressed their joy by writing, "That’s so sick! What a creative kid! Genuinely thought it was a filter, hope she’s proud!"
"Honestly.. if my child did this.. I would be so proud," a social media user penned.
If you think about it, the look is quite easy to pull off, thanks to the little girl’s clever head. So, if you or your kid is feeling inspired, get hold of a toilet roll and some tape and turn yourself too into the remarkable Wednesday Addams.
