Viral video: Kids carry big rocks to cover the manhole; Netizens hail them as heroes

One of the greatest civic issues, the poor and manhole-filled roads frequently result in numerous accidents and fatalities. Residents are frequently seen criticising and lamenting the poor state of the roadways. But it appears that the problems are still largely unresolved. But this heartwarming video of kids covering the manhole themselves shows the power of community service.

This viral video shows two kids, who appear to be coming back from their school. The children, a girl, and a boy, aged roughly around 10-12 years are seen looking at the manhole in shock.

But, in another instant, the kids derive a solution to the rampant manhole problem all by themselves. Both of them are seen pointing in the other direction of the road. And the girl and the boy move to the side and get huge pieces of rocks. Kids are then seen, placing the rocks around the manholes, to divert the incoming traffic.

Despite carrying heavy bags on their backs, kids carry the rocks one by one and place them carefully to warn the coming cars of the manhole. This act of mindful service helped the drivers drive safely around the existing manhole and prevent any fatalities.

The video has already garnered the likes and praises of the netizens. They’re hailing the kids as heroes for their responsible and quick action.

“We don’t deserve them, but we need them”, Commented a user.

Another user said, “That’s what good education does to you.”

“Good parenting, God bless their heart,” said another.
