It’s mainly been about the (OK, alleged) pig this week as prime minister David Cameron suffered the fallout from anecdotes in Lord Ashcroft’s unauthorised biography, which outlined bizarre rituals at Oxford University. We don’t want to tell any porkies – and we haven’t been able to grill the PM himself – but we know our selection of videos will definitely bring home the bacon. We start with Cassetteboy’s mashup which is bound to raise a giggle, followed by a stunt involving a live pig which was delivered to Downing Street.
There are pigs at ITV’s Downton Abbey farm but hopefully they will never suffer the same fate as the Cameron pig. They are more at risk from being attacked by light sabres as cast members, led by Rob James-Collier, perform a Star Wars spoof, The Evil Butler Strikes Back, in aid of the Chilterns MS Centre. Watch out for Maggie Smith as the Dowager Duchess – scary stuff!
It’s not, however, quite as terrifying as some CCTV footage of a Saudi man strolling down a pavement who narrowly escapes with his life when a plate glass window crashes down from a building. We’ve also got a couple of videos that will tug at your heartstrings. In one, a man sings to his 93-year-old wife as she lies dying, and in another, a six-year-old girl talks to her mum about the impact of divorce and has more than a few words of advice too.
