A SCOTLAND fan who went viral for “falling in love with everything Mexican”, has been rewarded with an unexpected new role – becoming HelloFresh’s very first Mexican Menu Ambassador.
Tartan Army fan Blair McNally became one of Scotland's stars of the tournament after documenting his newfound love of Mexican food and culture while following the World Cup in Mexico.
Now his culinary adventures have earned him a role with subscription food-box company HelloFresh, which has created a limited edition dish inspired by his trip.

McNally, whose day job is as a Scottish football vlogger covering lower league football, built up a huge online following during the tournament as fans embraced his enthusiasm for tacos, spices and authentic guacamole.
As part of the collaboration, HelloFresh has unveiled Blair's Tartan Army Mexican Style Spiced Soup, which “brings together the best of Scottish comfort food with flavours Blair couldn't stop talking about during the tournament.”
The dish combines Mexican-inspired spices with sweet potato, butter beans, sweetcorn and crusty ciabatta.
Mimi Morley, Senior Recipe Development Manager at HelloFresh, said: “Blair’s passion for the bold flavours, warming spices and vibrant ingredients that make Mexican cuisine so special was infectious, and it inspired us to create a recipe that captures that same sense of discovery.”
Blair's Tartan Army Mexican Style Spiced Soup will be available exclusively through HelloFresh from July 4 to July 10.
