Viral dancing sensation steals show at festival and makes it to 'big screen'

Viral sensation Orlando Tirelli has been spotted entertaining the crowds at a Merseyside festival.

In March, Orlando took the internet by storm when he was recorded dancing at a bus stop on Great Homer Street. This weekend the zumba instructor was spotted delighting crowds at the Look-A-Like Festival in Southport.

In the video, the 49-year-old who was working as a security guard at the festival can be seen strutting his stuff along the aisle throwing his arms in the air to the tune of the pop classic Dancing Queen. Orlando, who stole the lime light from the Abba tribute act, then elegantly spins towards a speaker before leaping on top of it and kicking his legs in the air.

The video has racked up over 2,000 views after being posted to the Sandgrounder Radio FB page. The post has been flooded with comments. One person said: "He was so fun! Even made it onto the big screen! #orlandosouthport can he come back next year".

While another said: "It was lovely to see him - enjoying his job so much and showing his dance moves". One man said: "He was so funny, enjoying the carnival atmosphere, well done".

This is not the first time Orlando has taken centre stage. In 2018 he had a dance off with Drag Race start Alyssa Edwards.

Alyss, who appeared on the fifth series of RuPaul's Drag Race, was stunned after she stopped her one-woman show in Fusion to invite Orlando onto the stage.

Speaking to the ECHO in March he said: "This is what I am all about, look at the times we are in at the moment, there is a war, we have just come out of a pandemic, so to be able to spread joy and happiness is genuinely amazing to me."
