Vipers’ Michael Frazier makes USAB training camp roster for FIBA qualifying

Rio Grande Valley Vipers guard Michael Frazier has been selected to the USA Men’s Basketball training camp roster for the latest round of FIBA qualifying, Adam Johnson of 2 Ways & 10 Days reports.

Frazier, 24, was undrafted out of the University of Florida in 2015, playing for the Los Angeles D-Fenders, Iowa Energy, and Fort Wayne Mad Ants of the NBA G-League before a stint in Italy. He joined the Houston Rockets’ G League affiliate in 2018.

This season, Frazier has averaged a career-best 16.4 points and 5.8 rebounds per game, having secured a starting role for the first time in his G League tenure. He was an instrumental part of the Vipers’ 10-2 January run, for which coach Joseph Blair received G League Coach of the Month recognition.
