Violent girl gang cornered and kicked teenager, 15, in head leaving her with face injuries in unprovoked Dundrum attack

A 15-year-old girl and her friend were cornered, repeatedly hit and even shockingly kicked in the face during an unprovoked attack by a girl gang in south Dublin.

The vicious gang, led by three young girls, approached the two fellow girl teenagers before pulling their hair and attacking the pair while on the ground.

The brutal attack lasted around 40 minutes before one of the girl's mothers came on the scene and pulled the violent trio off the pair.

Speaking in detail to the Dublin Gazette, the young girl said she is now afraid to even leave the house after the attack.

She told the publication: “We were just chatting and the attack came out of the blue, we still don’t understand why.”

In a statement to Dublin Live, a spokeswoman for Gardaí said that they "are investigating an incident of assault that occurred in Dundrum, Saturday 7th September, at approximately 9pm".

She added: "Two teenage females received injuries to their face. No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing."

Three weeks previously, a horrifying video emerged which showed a 14-year-old Muslim teen being allegedly attacked.

The teen is alleged to have had her hijab ripped from her head before being beaten and humiliated with eggs by a group of youths in Dundrum.

A video shared widely online shows the group surround the girl as she screams.

The camera loses focus before egg shells are then seen on the ground and the distraught girl can be heard crying.

Bystanders ran in to help as the gang left the scene meanwhile a warning text was sent out by parents in the hope no other kids fell victim to any attacks.

A spokesman at the time said: "Gardai are investigating an alleged minor assault of a female in her teens, which occurred on Sunday 18th August 2019 at approximately 15:30 on Main St, Dundrum.
