Two men have been charged after a violent fight broke out in a Glasgow street.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Royston Road at around 6pm on Tuesday following reports of a ‘disturbance’.
Two men, aged 27 and 42, had sustained injuries during the incident however they are not believed to be life-threatening.
One of the men was taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary while the other was driven to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
The duo have since been arrested and charged in connection with the disturbance.
Locals reported a heavy police presence in the area around the time of the incident with road closures and cordons put in place.
They are due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today (Wednesday).
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police were called around 6pm on Tuesday, 20 October, 2020 following the report of a disturbance on Royston Road, Glasgow.
“Officers attended and two men aged 27 and 42 were taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary and Queen Elizabeth University hospitals for treatment of their injuries which are not life threatening.
“Both men have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and are due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today.”
