Violent customer filmed giving dozen digs to man at doorway of popular Dublin shop in shocking attack video

A violent customer was filmed repeatedly punching and firing baskets at another man at a popular Dublin shop during a shocking attack yesterday.

The disgraceful video shows one man, dressed in all-black, throwing punches at another person in a white shirt in the doorway of the popular EuroGiant in Phibsborough.

The attacker lands 12 successive punches in the man's face and head while he desperately tries to defend himself from the blows before being able to land a few smacks of his own.

After the dozenth dig the all-black man, covering his face with the help of a cap, slowly walks away from the premises in a calm fashion.

He is followed up the street by the white-shirted man and the two still continue to square up to each other as the confrontation carries on around the corner.

Gardai told Dublin Live that one man in his 30s had been arrested following the incident.

A spokesman and spokeswoman for the store both confirmed that an incident had taken place yesterday.

They added: "We will be giving out no more information about this incident at this time."

A Garda spokesman told Dublin Live: "We attended the scene of a Public Order Incident at a retail premises on Phibsorough Road, Dublin at 6.15pm on 15 October.

He added: "One man in his 30s was arrested and was detained at Mountjoy Garda Station."
