Shocking footage captured the moment a violent fight broke out in the street near a Scots hotel.
It is understood the rammy took place in the street near the Belmill Hotel and the Carousel bar in Bellshill on Saturday night.
It is not known if any of those involved had been drinking in any of the bars on the street.
Video footage shows a man lying in the middle of the road, while another man leans over him and repeatedly strikes him on the head.
A woman tries to intervene and the man stands up and kicks his victim on the head before walking off.
Four men and a woman can be seen standing in the street while the fight takes place.
One man comes back to check on the victim, who is lying completely still on the road as cars drive past.
Two staff members from the Belmill Hotel then appear to try and help as one panicked worker can be seen on the phone.
Two people place the injured man into the recovery position.
Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service have been approached for a comment.
The Belmill Hotel declined the Record's request for a comment.
