An expensive food delivery was sent to the wrong address and eaten, leading to a violent fight.
At around 7.30pm on Aug 22, a Chinese family in Bang Lamung district, Chonburi, ordered steamed crabs worth 4,000 baht. However, the delivery rider mistakenly delivered the food to the wrong address.
When the woman who ordered the food went to enquire, the household that had received the food reportedly replied: “We’ve already eaten it, what’s the problem?” This response triggered anger, escalating into a violent confrontation. The order had been placed by an elderly Chinese woman aged around 60–70. The house that received the food belonged to 34-year-old Chinese-Cambodian national Mr Mar tu. After the elderly woman expressed her displeasure, she phoned her son, who arrived with nearly 10 others. The discussion quickly escalated into a brawl captured by CCTV cameras.
As a result, Mr Mar tu and another man, a gardener, sustained injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment.
CCTV footage shows multiple people involved in the assault, and officers are now asking them to surrender and face legal proceedings.
