The 31-year-old victim was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment.

A 52-year-old man suffered deep cuts to his nose and broken teeth after a rammy at the Masonic Lodge in Collier Street, Johnstone spilled out into the street.

Football fans had been watching the game inside before violence erupted at around 5pm.

Later a woman, aged 40, had her finger broken in a disturbance outside the Wallace Bar in Renfrew High Street at around 7.25pm.

The victim and her partner, a 47-year-old man who was also injured in the disturbance, had watched the match in the pub earlier in the day.

It's understood the pair were attacked by a brute in the street.

Detective Inspector Bob Bowie from Paisley CID said: “We are investigating a number of incidents following the Celtic versus Rangers match on Sunday.

“If you have any information in relation to any of these, I would urge you to come forward to police.”

Anyone with information should cotact police on 101, or Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
