Hyderabad: Telangana State Planning Board vice-chairman B Vinod Kumar on Friday said the TRS would secure Huzurabad seat with a huge majority as the government had taken up welfare schemes that instil confidence in people. He said the BJP had proven that it was an ‘anti-farmer’ party, whereas the TRS government came across a ‘pro-farmer’ government.
Vinod accompanied TRS candidate in Huzurabad Gellu Srinivas Yadav while filing nomination on Friday. Srinivas was given the B-form by TRS president and CM K Chandrasekhar Rao on Thursday night. Speaking to reporters, Vinod alleged that former minister Eatala Rajender backstabbed the party by resorting to anti-party activities.
“Congress leaders who tried to split the TRS have now vanished from the political scene. Eatala will also face the same fate,” he said. Attacking the BJP, he said while Niti Aayog had showered praises on Telangana government on various occasions, the Centre was not extending support.
