Vinnie Jones has revealed his TV show helped save a man’s life.
The ex-footballer and Hollywood star, 60, has been on screens with Vinnie Jones In The Country, where Vinnie deals with life on a 2,000 acre farm in West Sussex.
The two series have also seen Vinnie share a personal side, and he’s opened up about sobriety and grief, following the death of his wife Tanya in 2019.
And it seems Vinnie’s honesty on air has helped viewers, as he says one man told him his honesty saved his life.
“A guy came to my gate recently to tell me I'd saved his life,” he told Country Life.

“He had been watching an episode where I had been talking about how to keep going through tough times.
“I believe the real way to man up is to talk about the hard stuff.”
Vinnie also told the publication he’d like to help tackle rural loneliness and isolation, following his own experience of grief.
He continued: “We all have a different journey, but grief is roughly the same colour. I hope that with what I’ve been through and the joy I am going through now, I can help.”
Vinnie’s wife Tanya tragically passed away six years after being diagnosed with skin cancer, which had later spread to her brain.
Vinnie is now with new partner Emma Ford, who features on the series.
Speaking to The Mirror last year, he said: “Moving forwards, we meet other people that we are fond of and we fall in love with and vice versa.”
Vinnie’s show has been on air for two series – but a third season could soon be on the cards, according to The Sun.
"In The Country was a sensation when it first aired, because it showed a very different side to Vinnie, who most people think of as a hardman on the pitch and the movie screen,” a source previously said.
“In fact, images of him being at one with nature and tackling important issues, including men’s mental health, helped make it one of Discovery’s biggest shows.”
In 2024, Vinnie said Clarkson’s Farm was “the biggest thing to happen for the country for thirty years”.
“I’m not sure some of these programmes like Springwatch and Countryfile tell a strong enough story for the countryside,” he added.
