Vinnie Jones returns to Piers Morgan’s Life Stories tomorrow - and in a heartbreaking segment he can be seen sobbing over his late wife.
During his latest interview with the Good Morning Britain presenter, the former footballer - who first appeared on the ITV programme 10 years ago - is played footage from his first appearance on the show.
Specifically, the moment that the camera moved to his wife, Tanya, who was sitting in the audience smiling and laughing while Vinnie tells the audience how important to him she was.
But sadly, the 55-year-old's new interview with Piers is less joyful.
Tanya passed away last year, aged just 53, after a six-year battle with cancer.
In the decade-old clip, it is obvious how much Vinnie loves his wife - and back in the present day he struggles to keep it together when watching it back.
After watching it, Piers said: “Before that even came on, you were getting emotional.
“Is it still unbearable to see her?”
Choking back tears, Vinnie replies: “No I suppose it’s probably the memories more than anything.”
He adds: “Such a beautiful person.”
Vinnie goes on to open up about how his life has changed irrevocably in that time, as he comes to terms with grieving for the loss of his best friend.
The footie hardman had been married to Tanya for 25 years and adopted her daughter Kayley.
They said 'I do' in a Watford ceremony in 1994 before moving to LA where Vinnie pursued his acting career, and renewed their vows in 2007.
In the interview, Vinnie also looks back at some of the highlights of his football and movie careers, talks about his struggles with alcohol, how he is hoping to help other people, particularly men, to cope with grief and what the future now holds.
