Vinhomes Green Paradise: A Wonder in the Making and Vietnam's Next Chapter on the World Map of Marvels

Vinhomes Green Paradise is a precious gem not only of Vietnam, but of the world.

Fifteen years after Ha Long Bay was honored as one of the voted "New 7 Wonders of Nature", Vietnam once again stands on the cusp of global acclaim. This time, the representative is not a product of creation, but of human intellect and ingenuity, Vinhomes Green Paradise (Can Gio, Ho Chi Minh City). The project has officially applied to become a Participant in the global "7 Wonders of Future Cities" campaign, launched by the world-renowned New7Wonders organization.

From Natural Wonder to a Marvel of Vision and Aspiration

In 2011, the entire nation rejoiced as Ha Long Bay was officially named one of the chosen "New 7 Wonders of Nature". The overwhelming public mobilization for the vote was not just an expression of national pride. It was a global affirmation of Vietnam's majestic and unparalleled natural beauty.

Now, fifteen years later, Vietnam embarks on a new journey: The self-creation of a human-made wonder, offering the country a fresh opportunity to step onto the global stage.

Vinhomes announced its intended participation in the "7 Wonders of Future Cities" campaign immediately after the initiative officially launched on October 31, 2025. The global campaign invites citizens worldwide to identify seven cities that best represent innovation, sustainability, and human progress - urban icons that define what it means to be a "City of the Future".

For the next year, proposals and applications from participant cities and developments will be accepted, followed by the start of the voting phase on 31 October 2026, which will run until the official declaration of the 7 Wonders of Future Cities on 31 October 2027.

Vinhomes Green Paradise is the first official submission from Vietnam, carrying the mission to define what a future urban wonder truly is.

"We are witnessing a significant transformation: From honoring the inherent beauty of nature, we are now celebrating human creativity, the courage to conquer challenges, and visionary foresight. Vinhomes Green Paradise can be seen as the symbol of the next chapter in Vietnam's journey to affirm its position on the global map of wonders", remarked Architect Nguyen Minh Duc, an urban planning expert.

Vietnamese Pride on the Global Map of Wonders

Located at the southeastern gateway of Ho Chi Minh City, adjacent to the 75,000-hectare UNESCO-recognized Can Gio Mangrove Biosphere Reserve, Vinhomes Green Paradise spans nearly 2,870 hectares and boasts an unprecedented 121 kilometers of coastline, a scale rarely seen globally.

Unlike the wonders of stone, water, and time, the urban marvels of the 21st century must be a testament to intelligence, technology, and sustainable development. In this regard, Vinhomes Green Paradise perfectly aligns with all the criteria set forth by New7Wonders: Innovation, sustainability, human-centric design, and harmony with nature.

Central to this vision is the ESG++ model, an upgraded version of the traditional ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) framework, aimed at balancing economic, social, and environmental urban development while actively preserving and regenerating the natural ecosystem.

Green architecture and infrastructure are also a standout feature. All structures within the city are designed to pursue the BREEAM Communities certification, the world's leading standard for sustainable masterplanning, and ISO 37122 for smart cities. With a construction density of only 16%, the majority of the area is dedicated to open spaces, parks, water bodies, and electric transportation. Consequently, the average temperature here is projected to be approximately 2°C lower than in central Ho Chi Minh City, fostering a fresh, low-emission urban ecosystem that effectively adapts to climate change.

Vinhomes Green Paradise is an exceptional place to live, work, and enjoy life, while also offering strong investment potential and long-term value preservation, making it one of the rare projects globally with an “ESG++ foundation”.

At the operational level, Vinhomes Green Paradise employs a smart digital management system built on an Artificial Intelligence (AI) platform, enabling real-time monitoring of energy, water, and emissions. The entire city is aiming for 100% renewable energy use, notably featuring an offshore wind power system located 20 kilometers from the coast. The deployment of electric transportation routes, a circular water treatment system, and carbon footprint tracking technology are all evidence of Vietnam's capability to master world-class modern urban operation technology.

However, what truly distinguishes Vinhomes Green Paradise is not just its technology or scale, but its philosophy of placing people at the core of development. From living spaces to the system of amenities, every detail is geared toward balancing convenience, art, and emotion.

The project features the world's largest 800-hectare Lagoon saltwater lake, the 7-hectare Blue Waves Theatre, a venue dedicated to honoring maritime arts and culture, along with two 18-hole golf courses inspired by the sunrise and sunset, the Landmark Harbour marina complex, a 122-hectare entertainment hub, and a network of international-standard healthcare, education, and resort facilities.

This is more than just a place to live. It is a city symbolic of the human-centric and prosperous lifestyle of the 21st century.

According to Architect Nguyen Minh Duc, by officially submitting its candidacy and showcasing these timeless values, Vinhomes Green Paradise is not merely a promising entrant for the title of "Future Urban Wonder" but also Vietnam's declaration in the new era.

"If Ha Long Bay established Vietnam as a destination of magnificent nature, Vinhomes Green Paradise is now creating the opportunity for Vietnam to be recognized globally as a nation of intellect, innovation, and planetary responsibility. Vinhomes Green Paradise is a testament to the global mindset and the aspiration of the Vietnamese people to create enduring urban wonders", Architect Nguyen Minh Duc emphasized.

Fifteen years separate two milestones - the natural wonder and the urban one - but together they chart the evolution of a nation in motion. Vingroup, Vietnam's largest private conglomerate, stands as a symbol of that spirit: Unafraid to dream on a global scale, to test the limits of possibility, and to craft legacies designed to endure.
