Construction company VINCI has been appointed as the main contractor for Staffordshire University’s £40 million Catalyst building.
The facility – a flagship regional hub for apprenticeships and digital skills – will act as both a physical and virtual hub, connecting employers, students and apprentices from across the Midlands and beyond.
Work is due to start on the site of the university’s recently demolished Brindley building on the Stoke-on-Trent campus next spring ahead of its opening in September 2021.
Professor Martin Jones, deputy vice-chancellor at Staffordshire University, said: "We are delighted to announce VINCI Construction UK as the contractor for this exciting project.
