Vincent Valentine, D.J. Swearinger are day-to-day with injuries

Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury did not announce a list of players who are injured and will sit out Saturday’s practice but he did answer questions about some players who appeared to have an injury.

Defensive lineman Vincent Valentine, who went down with an apparent leg or knee injury on Friday, will not miss a lot of time. Kingsbury said he “should be good here shortly.”

He did not elaborate as to what the injury was or the timetable.

Safety D.J. Swearinger is “pretty much day-to-day, nothing major.” Kingsbury said the veteran safety’s injury is “a soft tissue of some sort.”

Josh Shaw will likely get Swearinger’s reps with the first-team defense Saturday afternoon and moving forward until Swearinger returns to the field.

Valentine, Swearinger and linebacker Haason Reddick, who will miss a few weeks after knee surgery, are the only players known to be out.
